- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place the cherries in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons water. Cook over a low heat for 6-8 minutes. Stir in the caster sugar and cook a further 5 minutes or until soft.
- In a bowl, use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until fine crumbs form. Stir in the oats and brown sugar.
- Spoon the cherries into a 4 cup (1 litre) ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the top. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly and serve with ice cream or custard.
